Pet Sematary is Stephen King’s most terrifying story ever. Both the book and the 1989 film scared the hell out of me and it still gives me the creeps. That original film gave me nightmares for months and I still think about twice before watching it!
The remake actually looks perfect! I love what I’m seeing in this first trailer and it’s going to give the audiences some much-needed nightmare ammunition. Only time will tell if the movie really turns out to be as good and scary as the original film.
The movie was directed by Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kölsch and it stars Jason Clarke as Dr. Louis Creed, John Lithgow as Jud Crandall and Amy Seimetz as Rachel. They all loke like they’re going to be great in their roles!
Based on the seminal horror novel by Stephen King, Pet Sematary follows Dr. Louis Creed (Jason Clarke), who, after relocating with his wife Rachel (Amy Seimetz) and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall (John Lithgow), setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.
Pet Sematary is set to be released in theaters on April 19, 2019.
