These Awesome Costumes Are Made With Recycled Materials

Peter Kokis is an artist and his art is simply awesome. He lives in Brooklyn, NY and makes astonishing robot-like exoskeleton costumes out of 100% recycled materials. Yep, he collects trash and makes costumes out of it, and they turn out brilliant.

The costumes are very heavy as you can imagine reaching up to about 170 pounds per costume, Kokis must be very strong, and he has to get used to the heat. Aaron and Alex Craig made a short documentary about Kokis called One Man’s Trash for The Atlantic and they said his apartment gets up to 120 degrees. That’s because Kokis doesn’t use air conditioning to adjust his body to the high temperatures he have to face within his costumes later on.
