These Paintings Were Actually Coded Not Made Using CSS and HTML

In a new series of digital artworks, web developer Diana Smith ‘paints’ using only code, using only CSS and HTML. Smith has even made all of her hand-coded artworks available on GitHub for others to get some idea and learn new tricks.

The paintings are designed to render optimally on Chrome. Trying out the code on other browsers like Internet Explorer and Opera produces some unusual results.

Check out the paintings below and find Smith’s digital paintings along with an interview she did with Vice. For more, check out the project on Github and see her website for more info.
