Millions of people around the world tuned in to the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Many of these viewers found themselves quite enamored by the best man of Prince William, Prince Harry. In spite of a few rough patches in his younger years, Prince Harry has been ensnaring the hearts of non-royals for years. Here are a few reasons we love Prince Harry.
There is no question that Prince Harry is there for his family. His close ties to his grandmother, father, and brother make him desirable. Prince Harry frequently speaks about his mother, the deceased Princess Diana. His words have shown great admiration and love toward her after she died when he was just 12 years old. Harry is also frequently photographed with his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and his brother.
Prince Harry has shown superior character in the charity services he performs. He runs in charity races, visits military members who have been injured and works with charities providing service in Africa. Harry has vowed to continue in his mother’s footsteps, offering help to those who need it. The young royal has also served in the military. He joined a military academy following a partying stint. Soon he was an Apache helicopter pilot deploying in Afghanistan. This is certainly unexpected for any royal.
Since he was a child, Harry has been known for his remarkable sense of humor and friendly nature. In fact, he built himself quite a reputation as “the naughty royal.” He is known for mingling with so-called commoners and is not shy about interjecting with jokes and pranks.
Though Prince William was considered the more attractive of the brothers in their teenage years, Harry is coming into his own with his red hair, freckles, and fair coloring. His athletic build does not hurt either. His look has had many men flocking to The Art of Shaving to achieve the smooth face Harry pulls off so well.
Not only is Harry a prince, but he is also considered fourth in line for the crown after the birth of his first nephew. He takes each of his royal duties seriously, often filling in for his grandmother at major events.
Harry’s sense of humor, good looks, and commitment to public service help make him a man that many members of the public just can’t get enough of.
