This Very Detailed Video Examines THE HOBBIT Trilogy and Everything That’s Wrong With It

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies

Just to be clear, I absolutely love Peter Jackson‘s The Hobbit trilogy. I have to say, it wasn’t perfect and spreading the story out of the way of three films may not have been needed, but I loved all of them, they were quite fun to watch! I loved Peter Jackson’s vision of Middle Earth and I am just happy to get whatever I can from him.

The trilogy received a lot of hype, but it seemed to fall flat with most fans. There definitely appeared to be a lot of disappointment with the adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkiens classic novel, which ended up making in several other story threads from other books and adding new characters, which I didn’t mind at all.

Anyway, whether you are a fan of The Hobbit trilogy or not, I have a wonderful video essay series for you to watch from Lindsay Ellis, who started on an adventure of her own to give us an in-depth review of the adaptation, and even though she sets out to try to give it “a fair shake”, it really points out everything that is wrong with the trilogy. Even her essay is in trilogy form, check out all three videos below.
