I love the original ThunderCats series but what they are doing with this series isn’t what I want to see in a ThunderCats show.
The series was supposed to air on Cartoon Network in 2019, but then it was never aired… until now. Cartoon Network announced on Twitter that Thundercats Roar is currently available for preview on the Cartoon Network app. This preview comes with a full two-episode premiere for free for anyone who wants to watch them online.

I watched it and it was not for me at all, I love the original and I want to see more of that, not this crap. If one never watched the original series they might like it but the original Thundercats will not. Here’s the official logline for the series:
Producer Victor Courtright explained that ThunderCats Roar stays is true to the original’s premise and will feature a lot of action, but that it will also lean into the comedy of the world:
“I think the world that they built lends itself really well to comedy because of how silly and crazy and outlandish those ideas are and some of those settings are. But at the same time, it wouldn’t be ThunderCats if it didn’t have super cool action elements because that’s what people came back to. It’s very much something that we want to lean on. So with the new show, we’re not walking away from the action in any bit. Every step we take towards comedy, we take two more towards really cool action scenes and explosions and lasers and actions effects.”
