Tim Burton’s WEDNESDAY New Promo Spot Revealed

WEDNESDAY

Netflix has unleashed a new promo spot for Tim Burton‘s Addams Family-inspired series, Wednesday. The promo is a recruitment commercial for Nevermore Academy, a fictitious school that will serve as the main stage for the series.

Nevermore Academy is the alma mater of Gomez and Morticia Addams, and home to outcasts of all kinds – including Edgar Allan Poe, and Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday is sent there after being kicked out of a lot of other schools.

This is a twisted coming of age comedy story about “a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.”

The series also stars Luis Guzmán, who is playing Gomez Addams, and Catherine Zeta-Jones in the role of Morticia Addams, as well as Gwendoline Christie, Christina Ricci, Hunter Doohan, Percy Hynes White, Joy Sunday, Emma Myers, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Georgie Farmer, Naomi Ogawa, and Moosa Mostafa.

The series was directed by Burton. All three of them will also serve as showrunners on the series and executive producers. Wednesday is set to premiere in fall 2022.
