Tom Hanks’s WWII Battleship Movie GREYHOUND Will Now Release on Apple TV+

Tom Hanks’s World War II battleship movie Greyhound will not be released in theaters. It will now premiere on Apple TV+.

Greyhound was originally released in theaters this year on Father’s Day weekend but now it will release on Apple TV+ which really bum me out, Apple has not set a premiere date for the movie yet.

Greyhound is an adaptation of the novel The Good Shepherd by C.S. Forester. It’s a World War II-set drama that centers on a Navy officer who eventually gets to command a destroyer, but has to get on top of his personal difficulties and demons as he does so.

In the early days of WWII, an international convoy of 37 Allied ships, led by captain Ernest Krause (Hanks) in his first command of a U.S. destroyer, crosses the treacherous North Atlantic while hotly pursued by wolf packs of Nazi U-boats.

The movie also stars Stephen Graham (Snatch, Rocketman), Rob Morgan (Mudbound, Stranger Things), and Elisabeth Shue (Leaving Las Vegas, The Boys).
