2012 was a great year for the horror movie fans. Though there were the horror movies, 2012 still had probably the best horror movies of all time. These are some of the movies that will Burn the Floor at Shaftesbury Theatres.
1. Gone is a one of the 2012 specials that will definitely send spasms of chills down your spine. Directed by Heitor Dhalia and starred by Jennifer Carpenter, Sebastian Stan, Wes Bentley and Amanda Seyfried. It falls on the storyline of a girl (Amanda Seyfried) whose sister was murdered by a serial killer. She believes that the serial killer is back but no but no one seems to believe her. Against all odds she sets out for a search of the serial killer.
2. Devil inside is another block buster horror movie released in January 6th, 2012 that gets you holding dearly to your pillow. It is a movie about a daughter’s travel to Italy where her mother who had brutally killed 3 people because of unknown reasons was held. The mother was locked down at a criminally insane facility in Italy. The daughter recruits two exorcists to help rid her mother of strong demons possessing her. This woman seeks to find out what really happened with the exorcism and what possessed her mother. It is starred by Simon Quarterman, Fernanda Andrade, Suzan Crowley, and Evan Helmuth and directed by William Brent Bell, who bring the scares close to a reality.
3. [REC] ³ Genesis a story of a colorful expected to be wedding turned to a nightmare when some guests start exhibiting sings of a strange illness. Everything seems to be running smoothly when suddenly all hell breaks loose finding Koldo and Clara (bridegroom and bride) amid a torrent of violence where they get separated. Here , the search for each other begins. Directed by Paco Plaza, this movie will keep you glued to you screen full of suspense and fear for their dear sakes.
4. Underworld Awakening. Directed by Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein comes fourth in the Underworld series. Kate Beckinsale, India Eisley, Theo James and Michael Ealy are starring. After humans discover the existence of vampires and lycans, they decide to annihilate the races. Selene (Kate Beckinsale) is captured by mankind during a global military crusade called “the purge”. 12 years later she wakes from a cryogenic sleep to meet David a vampire in the antigen laboratory. She has visions which she believes belong to the sight of her longtime lover, a vampire/lycans hybrid, Michael. She is surprised to find out that she has a 14 year old vampire/lycans hybrid daughter, Eve, which she and Michael are obligated to protect against the lycans who want to use her to immunize their species against silver. This one is definitely going to burn the floor at Shaftesbury theatre.
5. Divide is another movie released in twenty twelve that makes you think it is a reality. This is a story about nine New York’s high apartment building residents. The nine hide in the apartment’s base bunker to escape a nuclear attack. They are trapped for days with no signs or hopes of a rescue team to help them. They do not know what to expect on the other side of the bunker’s door. Soon the group begins to run psycho, each person turning against the other.
underworld awakening a horror movie ?? Well that’s a dissapointment.
