HBO has released a full trailer for their newest film The Girl. The story focuses on the relationship between legendary filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock (Toby Jones) and actress Tippi Hedren (Sienna Miller) while working on the director’s incredible 1963 film The Birds. Apparently they had an incredibly intense working relationship during the production of the film. Hedren later accused Hitchcock of ruining her career when she refused his sexual advances. It looks like a great movie, and Jones has completely nailed Hitchcock.

THE GIRL tells the story of iconic director Alfred Hitchcock’s obsessive relationship with his leading lady, Tippi Hedren, during the making of “The Birds” and “Marnie.” Written by Gwyneth Hughes (HBO’s ‘Five Days,’ ‘Miss Austin Regrets’), THE GIRL is directed by Julian Jarrold (‘Becoming Jane’, ‘Red Riding Trilogy’).
The movie is set to be released on Saturday, October 20th.
