Apple TV+ has unveiled the trailer for their upcoming new movie called The Banker, which stars Samuel L. Jackson and Anthony Mackie. The Banker will get a theatrical release in December.
The movie tells the true story of “revolutionary businessmen Bernard Garrett (Mackie) and Joe Morris (Jackson), who devise a bold and risky plan to take on the racially oppressive business of the 1960s by helping other African Americans seek the American dream. Along with Garrett’s wife Eunice (Nia Long), they exercise a working-class white man, Matt Steiner (Nicholas Hoult), to act as the rich and posh face of their growing real estate and banking empire – while Garrett and Morris pose as a handyman and a driver. Their accomplishment ultimately draws the notice of the federal government, which threatens everything the four have built.”
The Banker will hit theaters on December 6, 2019, and then arrives on Apple TV+ in January 2020.
