I have been watching Big Bang Theory for almost 10 years and Sheldon Cooper is not the most enjoyable person on the show.

His quirks, rules, and phobias definitely seem maddening in an adult man, but judging by the first trailer for CBS’s new prequel series Young Sheldon, they’re surprisingly charming in a nine-year-old.

Starring Big Little Lies, Iain Armitage in the title role, with Jim Parsons giving voiceover to give us some insight into the mindset of Sheldon’s younger self.

Young Sheldon is a single-camera comedy instead of a multi-cam, which means no laugh track, Check out the trailer below, it’s surprisingly adorable.
