Director Michael Bay has revealed some new story information for Transformers: Age of Extinction.
Seibertron says that Bay described one of the Chinese locations, the Wulong Karst National Geology Park in Chongqing, as being the location of “a heroic turning point scene, which takes place after the fall of Hong Kong. A group of Transformers will meet up with another group Transformers where they battle their way out of a crater (Wulong Karst is known for it’s sink holes) that was apparently created by a crashed starship. After the Wulong Karst battle they return to Hong Kong.”
I think it’s safe to assume that the other group of Transformers they meet up with will be the Dinobots. In a separate interview with The South China Morning Post, the director was asked if Hong Kong serves as a refuge for the Autobots from the Decepticons, Bay replied,
“I can’t tell you how they get here… They are not rescuing Hong Kong but definitely rescuing something.”Of course he doesn’t say what they are rescuing, but I’m sure whatever it is will help save the world from annihilation. I’m just really excited to finally see the Dinobots brought to life!
