TripAdvisor’s Best Hotel of 2015: Gili Lankanfushi, Maldives

TripAdvisor is an American leading travel website company providing reviews of travel-related content. It also includes interactive travel forums.

TripAdvisor just published their 2015 Travelers’ Choice Awards and Gili Lankanfushi was named the #1 hotel in the world.

Gili Lankanfushi, Maldives is set on the private tropical island of Lankanfushi in the Malé Atoll. The resort consists of 45 over water villas, meaning every guest gets a piece of paradise all to themselves.

Gili Lankanfushi is approximately a 20 minute boat ride from Male, the capital of the Maldives. It is a tiny coral island in a sparkling lagoon, with jetties threading across the water out to each villa.

There are seven “Crusoe residences” that are only accessible by personal boat and a single residence called the Private Reserve that offers over 15,00 square feet of living space.

The resort features all of the water activities you would expect in a tropical setting. There is also a spa, outdoor movie theatre and numerous places to dine, relax and unwind.
