59 seconds is just humble of one minute, but if you’re spending those fifty-nine seconds in a photo op with President Donald Trump, they could seem infinite.

At the White House on Friday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel had the misfortune of learning this first hand, and as a result, we now have a video that could easily win an award for the most uncomfortable interaction in history.

Trump entraps his guests in one of his infamously embarrassing, ridiculously lingering handshakes … but Merkel was in for something far, far worse.
