Walt Disney’s Connection to TOMORROWLAND Explained

Disney has released two new videos for Brad Bird’s sci-fi film Tomorrowland. The most interesting bit of the movie is that Walt Disney and the theme parks he created exist in the world where the story takes place.

His involvement was hinted at very early on in the film’s development, when Bird and co-writer Damon Lindelof revealed a mystery box found in the archives of Disney that supposedly held the keys to a secret that Disney was holding.

A former boy-genius (George Clooney) and a gifted teenager (Britt Robertson) set out on a dangerous mission to unearth the secrets of “Tomorrowland,” an enigmatic location caught between time and space.

Release Date May 22nd.
