It’s a massive day for James Gunn and Peter Safran as they have unveiled their plans for the first slate of DC Studios movies, which is being called Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters.

Those projects contain Superman: Legacy, The Brave, and the Bold, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, Paradise Lost, Booster Gold, Lanterns, The Authority, Creature Commandos, Waller, and Swamp Thing. You can read all of the details on those projects here.
The projects will spin out of the events of the upcoming Flash movie, which will be a soft reboot for the DC Universe, but Aquaman and Blue Beetle, among others, will still be canon to the new timeline.
Gunn says in the video that “Storytelling is always king — that’s all that matters to us.” He also talks about DC’s commitment to letting creators tell their stories without a ton of executive interference, which is one of the many things that pushed such a giant mess in the past.
