It was a hit at the Sundance Film Festival and all the horror buffs should be excited about this movie called Scare Me.
The story finds two strangers played by Josh Ruben and Aya Cash, who end up in a cabin during a power outage as a storm hits the area. They end up telling each other horror stories and it’s just a lot of fun watching the stories they tell play out.
In Scare Me, “Fred (Ruben), a frustrated copywriter, checks into a winter cabin to start his first novel. While jogging in the nearby woods, he meets Fanny (Cash), a successful and smug young horror author who feeds his insecurities. During a power outage, Fanny challenges Fred to tell a scary story. As a storm brew, they pass the time rotating spooky tales fueled by the tensions among them, and Fred is forced to confront his fear: Fanny is the awesome storyteller. The stakes are raised when they’re visited by a horror fan (Chris Redd) who delivers levity (and a pizza) to the proceedings.”
Scare Me will be released on Shudder on October 1st.
