New Jersey’s North Bergen High School performed an impressive stage play version of Ridley Scott’s Alien last month and I have checked out the whole play and I have to say it is something entirely different from what I have been thinking. News of the production went viral and got the attention of Scott and Sigourney Weaver.
Scott ended up giving the school money to help them fund an encore performance and that performance took place on Alien Day and has now made its way online for the world to enjoy. Weaver even showed up to the performance and came out on stage to introduce it!
This is such a fabulous production, and it really turned out as wonderful as you hoped it would be. It’s certainly worth your time. The creative team behind it did such a magnificent job, mainly with the costumes and sets.
It’s also fun to see how they pull off some of the film most memorable moments such as the iconic chest buster scene. There are also some nods to James Cameron’s Aliens in the production as well.
