OnePoll.com, A global research company conducted a study of 5,000 adults, listing the 50 top characteristics that make us quintessentially British. British TV Shows you might say but believe me that doesn’t even climb on the list as you expected, Fawlty Towers and Only Fools and The Horses should be making you proud to be British.
Moaning about the weather was one of the most British thing they found in their study accompanying sarcasm, watching soaps and getting drunk also featured highly on the list. Going to pubs should be on top of the list but this is not about my opinion.
There is a long list of negative characteristics, such as moaning, curtain-twitching, enjoying others’ misfortune and looking uncomfortable on the dance floor, there was also a healthy dose of positive traits that make us proud of being British.
Brits are also good at hunting out bargains better then their American counterparts, Brits have a clever sense of humor, keep their homes tidy, love a good ramble in the countryside and of course going to the beaches, Brits are not into BBQing habit like most Americans mostly because of the grey weather of the Britain.
Additionally, you can have a quiz here at Ladbrokes and check your score of how British you really are.
