Zack Snyder Shares a Cool New Image From His REBEL MOON Movie

Zack Snyder has shared a new photo from his upcoming sci-fi action movie project Rebel Moon. The image features a makeup test for a character in the movie, and I adore the design! This looks like one hell of a terrifying character!

The story is based on an original idea that Snyder had for Star Wars, but was rejected by Lucasfilm. The movie is set in a “peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy that finds itself threatened by the armies of the tyrannical Regent Balisarius. They dispatch a young woman with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from neighboring planets to help them take a stand against the Tyrant.”

Rebel Moon stars Sofia Boutella, Charlie Hunnam, Doona Bae, Djimon Hounsou, Ray Fisher, Jena Malone, Rupert Friend, Stuart Martin, Cary Elwes, Corey Stoll, Michiel Huisman, and Alfonso Herrera.

The project is reportedly being split into two epic features, and if they are a success, Snyder is going to continue to build out the universe with more sequels. Snyder previously shared, “This is me growing up as an Akira Kurosawa fan, a Star Wars fan. It’s my love of sci-fi and a giant adventure. My hope is that this also becomes a massive IP and a universe that can be built out.”
